My shifts announce themselves with a little siren every time. I know it’s about the release and the speed of the travel, but I can’t make it consistent. What was the cue that cleaned up your shifts?
Lighten the left-hand pressure during the travel - the slide is audible because the finger stays heavy on the string while it moves. Ghost the shift (no bow) until the motion is silent, then add the bow.
